We are always interested in acquiring Antiques (Paintings, Maps, Books, Posters, etc). We are also interested in acquiring entire collections. The best way to properly evaluate your collection would be to make an appointment with us and then bring the items in for appraisal. The next best alternative would be to send a digital image of the items.
In the case of Maps we need to know the following information:
Map title
Map maker
Map size
Condition / Any details
Note:
– Please spell the map title as indicated on the map.
– When measuring the map please give the size of the printed surface, not the size of the whole sheet.
– Please let us know if there is any text at the back of the map and the language that it is in.
– Let us know of the condition of the map, i.e. discolorations, tears or wholes, foxing, creases etc.
